Welsh National Opera MAX Department 'Another Life' project 2007...
On behalf of the WNO MAX department, Baritone Owen Webb and myself, visited schools in Bristol to deliver workshops introducing children to Opera, its themes, participants and methods, through songs and music that would form the chorus numbers for a massed performance with the WNO Orchestra of a newly commissioned childrens Opera 'Another Life' based on themes of computer games, magic, mystery and adventure! Not to mention a few Avatars, the musical world of OWONO...and some sausage, mash and beans!

Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama 'Take One Picture' project 2006... In support of the National Gallery's 'Take One Picture' initiative RWCMD students 'Castle Brass', Kevin Price Head of Brass at the RWCMD and myself visited six South Gloucestershire Infant and Primary schools to encourage the children to explore the links between Art and Music and sound and image. With a mixture of animal portraits, fake moustaches, Rolph Harris impressions, tortoise dancing and fantastic music we aimed to entertain, inspire, encourage and educate children through our shared enthusiasm for blowing raspberries down metal tubes! Big Arts Week 2005... Feedback from 'Many thanks for giving up your time in providing us with two fantastic days of composing. Both the children & Staff alike learnt a great deal which can be developed in the future & all the staff feel that you have a great career ahead of you with your special combination of enthusiasm & professionalism. We hope to work with you again.'
